Y Speak
About
Y Speak, the only documentary and debate program made for and by the youth, has shared experiences and meaningful conversations with our kabarkadas who have notable contributions in various fields and interests concerning the youth. We have tried to bring various social and political issues closer to our kabarkadas in high hopes of creating mass youth awareness and positive action among them.
With such stance, YSpeak has been honored with special recognitions and awards from different prestigious award giving bodies such as:
- Anak TV Seal Awardee from 2005 - 2008
- USTV Awardee for Best Public Affairs Program for 2006 -2008
- UP Gandingan Awardee for Best Panel Discussion Program and Most Development-oriented TV Program for 2007 and 2008.
- Catholic Mass Media Awardee for Best TV Talk Show for 2006
- Kapisanan ng mga Broadkaster ng Pilipinas Golden Dove Awardee for Best Public Affairs Program for 2007
- Gawad Tanglaw for Best Public Affairs Program 2008
This year, as part of our continuous mission of advancing the youth’s advocacies, their strong opinion and committed stance in the issues concerning the environment, tourism, education, poverty and violence against children, Y Speak is pleased to announce our partnership with different organizations to mutually work for the improved welfare of the youth.
For 2008 Y Speak is officially endorsed by:
The Department of Education, particularly the Center for Students and Co-Curricular Affairs, and The National Youth Commission.
The show also advances the interest of the youth, in partnership with the following:
- United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) for the child’s rights and children against violence campaigns
- World Wide Fund – Philippines (WWF) for the Earth Hour project
- Habitat for Humanity – Philippines for empowering the poor build a decent home as an entry point to rebuilding lives
